Bollywood’s famous fashion designers- Arpita Mehta and Kunal Rawal got married in an intimate affair in Taj Hotel Mumbai. Attended by various celebrities from the B-town, the wedding was filled with love, happiness and of course the glam factor.
The bride and the groom being the designer itself rocked all their outfits and looked magnificent in the ivory themed clothes worn for their functions. It was indeed a very classy and sophisticated affair.
Let’s now dig into what the bride and groom as well as the guests had worn for this much talked B-town wedding.
1.Here is a look of Arpita’s Mehndi Outfit-
Arpita Mehta wore a beautiful shade of pastel sage green and golden. She choose a very offbeat yet out of the box colour for her mehndi. The outfit is by the bride herself and she totally did justice to it. It seems like she knew clearly about what she wanted. Her lehenga had horizontal lines with detailing consisting of colours like pastel blue, silver and golden.
Her dupatta consisted of sea shells with mirrors which is a very unique idea.
I even loved the necklace worn by her which was again stones of sage green which totally complimented her minimal look.
She kept it minimal and yet classy.
Arpita choose to go minimal with her Mehndi. Now days many girls are opting for minimal Mehndi for their D-Day. In fact , it’s a brides choice after all it’s her day. She should be given the freedom to choose how much and what type of designs she wants in her Mehndi. All thanks to the ideas on Instagram and Pinterest that the girls are getting ideas and customises the designs according to their own choice and liking. Gone are those days when girls had no choice but to stick to particular designs and patterns.

3. Celebrating mehndi together-
Gone are those days when the mehndi function of the girl was only restricted to her family and friends. Now days, it’s more of a pre-wedding fun and to calm things down, relax and have a time of your life with your to be husband. In fact grooms , equally love to participate in these functions and spend time with their bride to be.
Arpita and Kunal had a fun filled mehndi. They laughed and created wonderful memories with their close friends and families.
In the times when red is supposed to be the most preferred colour by all the brides to be, Arpita choose to go all ivory and gold for her D-Day. Her outfit consisted of 18700 mirrors. Her mirror work lehenga was her own design which looked just like a dream. Arpita carried her lehenga elegantly and aced it effortlessly.
Arpita Mehta opted for a soft glam nude makeup for her wedding day. She avoided going very heavy and went for a toned down look with a nude lipstick. She ditched bright shades of lipstick and decided to go for a subtle look. This totally complimented her ivory and gold mirror work lehenga for her day time intimate wedding.
She avoided unnecessary heavy jewellery for her D-Day. She opted for polki jewellery for her neckpiece, earrings and mang tikka. According to her stylist, she was very clear about what she wanted when it came to Jewellery and so they opted for the beautiful polki jewellery which was subtle and was looking absolutely gorgeous on her.
Being a fashion designer couple itself. This couple took the opportunity to make their wedding outfits so special. Arpita went for French knots on her lehengas dupatta which is a signature Of her husband’s Kunal Rawal’s design. She had described that she wanted to add a touch of his aesthetic to her outfit. Like isn’t that so cute??
She also went a step ahead and embroidered her wedding date in beige thread French knots on her wedding dupatta.
That is super cool and what an adorable thing to do.
She went for a light pink pastel chooda which absolutely complimented her attire. The Choodas were not too much and were of the perfect proportions and numbers. Her kaleras were cute, playful and funky. It was a floral kalera with personalised motifs on it.
This says a lot about a brides personality.
Arpita’s personality is cute, bubbly, chill and super fun just like her accessories on her D-Day.
Arpita again choose to do something different with her hairstyle. She ditched the conventional wedding hairstyle like the bun and opted for a flowy relaxed hairstyle. She opted for soft waves which went with her nude makeup look. She choose to go all easy and breezy with her hair for her intimate wedding.
Arpita’s entry was full of drama and laughter. She walked down in a cute way down the aisle. Rather than walking with her family or friends, she choose to walk alone with a dramatic walk. She was welcomed by cute kids throwing flowers at her which looked extremely adorable. She even didn’t go for the conventional phoolo ki chadar and broke the stereotype of the conventional bridal entry.
11. Kunal’s Bhaarat too had its fun element-
Not only Arpita, but even Kunal had a fun filled entry. His bhaarat was again not traditional. He ditched the ghodi-system which is a great way to show that they are against animal cruelty. Did not opt for band baaja instead went on to play music on a music system and danced on it.
His Bhaarat also came via stairs to the ground floor creating a very fun and exciting element adding a twist to the whole Bhaarat system.
The first thing I felt when I saw their pictures on Instagram was that how happy they looked. They laughed, their expressions were full of happiness and emotions running down.
The pictures of their pheras were a completely Awww moment for all of us.
It was beautiful to see two people enjoying their pheras and without any pressure to act like in a certain way.
As soon as the photos came in, internet was on fire. What caught my eyes the most was the candid photography.
After all, the wedding pictures are one of the most important things in a wedding.
Pictures are a big deal in today’s generation.
It’s very important to hire a good photographer who can meet your needs and so the photographers here did all the justice to the photos.
Arpita and Kunal’s photoshoot was adorable and caught all the eyes.
Not only the candid photography but even photo shoots were classy and sassy.
Arpita’s bridesmaids were totally colour coordinated for her wedding.
They rocked in ivory and golden.
Some wore sarees and some wore a lehenga. The colour coordinated outfits looked really good and went with the theme which was all about ivory, gold, white, cream with some shimmer and glitters.
Many of her bridesmaid wore outfits from Arpita’s collection itself which is super cool.
15. Kunal’ Sherwani was also designed by himself-
It’s very rare that someone gets to design their own outfits. Imagine being the groom and being able to design your own sherwani for your wedding?
Well, Kunal was amongst the lucky ones who being a fashion designer designed his own sherwani. His sherwani consisted of his signature French knots and fibre embroidery for tonal textures. His was a 3 piece sherwani. Along with the ivory sherwani was a ivory kurta and cream coloured pants. He also wore a stole which was a combination of cream, ivory and beige along with ivory saafa.
16. Customised coordinated outfits for the groomsmen-
If girls can do it then why not boys? We have mostly seen bridesmaids coordinating but here even the groomsmen were coordinated with each other.
The colour scheme was followed very strictly and was taken seriously.
Best part was that it was Kunal who had designed his groomsmen outfit. I mean, isn’t that so cool?
He stuck to the colour theme palette like ivory, cream, beige and white.
The colour coordinated Bhaarat looked fabulous and dapper.
17. The ivory wedding guest list-
The ivory guest list added to the glam factor to the wedding. The wedding was attended by some famous Bollywood celebrities who rocked their looks. The glam quotient was high and on fire.

18. Ending the events with a sexy black dress code-
Bollywood is known for its after parties and why not? An after party after the wedding ceremony is to relax and enjoy yourself as a married couple with friends and families. It is all about dancing, singing, having fun with your tribe.
Arpita and Kunal choose to go all black for their after party which looked totally stunning for the evening.

While Kunal also opted for a black shimmer sherwani with a fusion twist.
The duo totally rocked the black colour theme.
The couple and the guest really followed the colour theme which is quite impressive.
