Some Offbeat Lehenga colours to try in this winter wedding season ( Evening edition) part- 1

All over the world the wedding season is taken very seriously and specially in india it’s considered a grand affair. The to be brides are very particular about how they want their weddings should be and one of the most important aspect is the lehenga for her D- day.

The first thing that comes into a brides mind is what will be the colour of her lehenga?

Even though it is a tough choice to make it’s not an impossible task.

Here are my personal favourite top 5 colours to try in this winter wedding season if your wedding is in the evening-

1. Purple- Purple is no doubt one of the most trending colours these days. It is a very good option for brides who love pink but feel that pink is too common and wants to go for something different. Apart from that a purple lehenga look regal for an evening function. It matches all Indian tones and you can also opt from various shades of purple like violet, boysenberry, wine, amethyst and eggplant are shades which will certainly make you look like a bold and experimental bride.

2- Blue- Blue colour oozes royalty. My personal favourite shades of blue for an evening winter wedding are- royal blue and navy blue. Blue is one of the most preferred colours for a function full of lights and celebrations. Blue as a colour looks very fresh and quirky. In blue there are a lot of shades to choose from like indigo, admiral and aqure, berry and lapis. A blue lehenga paired with fuschia dupatta is one of my favourite combination. Also Priyanka Chopra Jones rocked royal blue lehenga in her reception party.

3- Brown- Have you ever thought about the colour brown for your bridal lehenga? The wedding season specially in north india during December and January is very cold. While the people of north India prefer to have a cup of hot chocolate, pile up on blankets and opt for warm colours from which brown is considered to be the most warm colour. So you know what I am hinting to? Yes brown lehenga. It looks very subtle and warm which makes it perfect for a winter evening wedding. It also offers a lot of shades you can choose from like- coffee brown, mocha, peanut brown, caramel, walnut, chocolate brown and list is endless.

4. Green- Green is a very soothing and evergreen colour. For me dark green and mehndi green is stealing my heart. This colour looks grand and majestic which is a good option for winters. The colour catches the eyes of everyone and looks impressive. A list of green shades to try from- juniper, emerald, moss, pine and basil. This lehenga colour is totally an offbeat choice. Sophie turner wore a beautiful mehndi green lehenga from Anita Dongre for Priyanka Chopra jones functions and she looked stunning.

5. Orange- From orange my personal favourite for winters is the fire orange and rusty orange. This is another warm colour which glows even on gloomy days. Orange is the colour of happiness and so you can never go wrong with it. The various shades of orange compliment all Indian skin tones. Orange gives a stiff competition to the conventional red colour. It looks splendid and is enriched with sophistication. Some shades of orange to try for- rust, ginger, squash, spice, bronze and marmalade. Did you know even Kareena Kapoor wore a beautiful shade of orange for her royal wedding?

With so many options in hand you can pick your shade and experiment with colours. Be a trend setter and try to be different. Feel free to choose what you want to wear, don’t be Afraid, be confident. Always remember that all colours are beautiful. So Choose wisely because it’s your D- day and all eyes will be on you.
