Some offbeat lehenga colours to try in this winter wedding season( Day edition) Part-2

Hello lovelies, I am back with part-2 series of wedding lehenga colours for this wedding season. In this blog I will be talking about some colours to try for day weddings in this season. During the winters, an afternoon wedding is a perfect choice considering the winters in mind. No doubt that, an afternoon wedding looks very pleasing and classy.

The decoration is focused on floral, pastel and neutral themes. I personally feel that even the wedding pictures in the day comes out to be alluring. The rays of sun gives an instant energy and makes everything bright and merry.

So here are my top 5 favourite  lehenga colours for a winter wedding in the day which will make you look cheerful and vivid-

1. Ivory- Gone are those days when ivory was not considered to be a colour worn by a bride in the Hindu weddings. With the new generation brides, they love to experiment with their looks. There are many brides who have chosen ivory for their D-day. An ivory lehenga looks dreamy and elegant. With ivory, you will look like you just stepped out of a fairy tale. It also compliments all skin tones. An ivory lehenga embellished with gold or silver mirror work is one of my favourite. Abhinav mishra has a very good collection in ivory. Even Sonam Kapoor wore ivory lehenga for her sangeet night.

2. Lavender- Lavender is a very soothing and calm colour. I admit that I am a little biased towards the shades of purple for this wedding season because I feel it’s the most eye catching colour coming up. A delicate colour lavender totally goes with the afternoon wedding vibes. Teamed with the floral wedding theme, lavender looks refreshing. Apart from lavender you can pick your favourite shades like lilac, heather, periwinkle and iris. Every shade of purple is stunning and looks regal. Even Shraddha Kapoor wore a mesmerising lavender lehenga for Mukesh Ambani’s son wedding.

3. Mustard Yellow- Yellow is a very cute and magnificent colour and a suitable pick for a day wedding in the winters. It will leave you shining and beaming under the sun. Yellow is a colour of prosperity and this gives you one more reason to add it to your list. Yellow does have a lot of shades to try in these winters like- mustard, dandelion, canary, honey and Tuscan. These shades are warm and not very bright. Mustard yellow is a colour which totally stands out and catches all eyes.

4. Powder Blue- When we think about the colour blue we think that it’s a colour of summer because of the breeze it has to it, but no, blue has in fact turned out to be a colour which is making it to both day and night list. But here I am talking about powder blue which is a very beautiful pastel shade. We all love pastels and even better during the day functions. It is one of my favourite shades from pastel palette. It is no doubt a very promising colour which is slowly gaining popularity. I personally believe that both Anita Dongre and Abhinav Mishra have done justice to this colour.

5. Baby pink- I think somewhere between peach and Rani pink we forgot about baby pink. Baby pink is a unique colour because it’s rarely worn but it is a evergreen colour and looks very stunning and surreal at the same time. This colour never fails to amaze me and I feel that any bride who picks up baby pink looks no less than a princess. One of my favourite baby pink lehenga is the one which Kareena Kapoor wore for Sonam Kapoor’s wedding. Even Alia Bhatt has rocked baby pink lehenga on various occasions.

With all these options available, you can certainly choose what’s best for you. With this I end my offbeat colour lehenga series for this wedding season. Keep shining.
